The RDP Kings Basketball team couldn't have asked for a better pre-season as they earned a perfect 8-0 record.
Now they need to show their new head coach that they can continue that hot streak into the brand new 2023-2024 season. Earlier this year they announced that Jedell Foster would take over the helm of the team.
Their season and home opener won't be an easy one though, as they are playing The SAIT Trojans who are the reigning national champions.
Game time this Friday night is at 8:00 pm
The Red Deer Polytechnic Queens Basketball team will aslo start their championship defense next Friday, October 20 as they welcome the SAIT Trojans to town.
The team will feature a few familiar faces from the championship-winning team last season but will also see many first-year student-athletes hit the floor for the first time in their college basketball career.
The game will start at 6 pm.
