City reminds you to stay off storm water ponds

It's that time of the year again. 

The City of Lacombe is reminding residents to stay off the ice on storm water ponds until further notice.

Storm water ponds are not prepared for recreational use and may pose safety risks due to thin ice.

The City will monitor the conditions of the ponds and inform residents when it is safe to use them for recreational purposes. Parents are also reminded to keep an eye on your kids around the ponds and to teach them the dangers of thin ice.
