On Thursday, December 8th, Edmonton Oiler Evander Kane with the support of The Oilers Organization and James H Brown injury lawyers donated over $25,000 to kids at The Maskwacis Cree High School and Maskwacis Cree Junior High School.

One hundred kids were offered a holiday shopping spree including an Evander Kane t-shirt and $250 to spend on themselves.

A few of MESC students bought $250 worth of groceries for their household and when Evander Kane found out he gave them both an extra $250 to buy stuff for themselves.

Evander Kane is currently injured after getting his wrist cut by a skate during a game in Tampa Bay on November 9th. He has been placed on long-term injured reserve(LTIR) and is not expected to return to the Oilers lineup until at least late January or February.
