Both Red Deer Polytechnic soccer and cross-country teams were in action this past weekend.

The Kings Soccer squad fell to defeat in a 2-1 tight matchup against the Olds College Broncos.

On the other hand, the Queens split their weekend with a loss against the Broncos but bounced back with a 1-0 clean-sheet victory over the University of Alberta-Augustana Vikings.

As for the Kings and Queens Cross-Country teams, they were down in Lethbridge for their third Grand Prix of the season.

The Queens won by a substantial margin as they finished 20 points ahead of second place. Justine Larson (Bachelor of Education) was the top finisher for her team as she came in fourth.

After facing a full SAIT Trojans squad for the first time this season, the Kings came in second place with Ben House (Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences) finishing in fifth place.
