The City of Red Deer says there will be changes to downtown parking today (January 4, 2024) in honour of Councilllor Michael Dawe’s funeral service.
The funeral service is being held at Gaetz Memorial United Church (4758 50 Street) in Red Deer at 1:00 PM. A reception will be held at 3:00 PM at the Parkland Pavillion at Westerner Park. A large attendance is expected but a live stream of the service is also available online here.
Parking on Ross Street between 47 Avenue and 49 Avenue will be free between 12 PM and 3 PM for the service. The reserved stalls closest to Gaetz Memorial United Church will be reserved for Dawe’s family members.
