The police incident has now ended but some officers remain on scene. A further update is expected.

Red Deer RCMP are currently on scene and advising of a heavy police presence at an apartment building at 3047 49 avenue in Red Deer. The incident is currently contained. While RCMP respond we are asking the public to avoid the area and follow directions of officers on scene.
RCMP ask that residents refrain from posting photos of responding officers on social media until after the incident is over.
An additional update is anticipated.
