The Sirens for Life Alberta Challenge launched today in Alberta. Emergency workers from Edmonton, Calgary, and Red Deer are competing to see who can help to save the most lives.  

Red Deer’s campaign goal is to collect more than 1,200 blood and plasma donations and bring in more than 80 new donors. Calgary is looking to bring in 54 hundred blood and plasma donations and more than 500 new donors. Edmonton is looking to bring in 4,862 blood and plasma donations and bring in 206 new donors.  

The challenge is running until January 31, 2024.
