On Dec. 21, 2023, Rocky Mountain House RCMP were dispatched to an assault of a 7-year-old which occurred at a bus stop in the Town of Rocky Mountain House. EMS attended and the victim was transported to a local hospital.
As a result of the investigation, a 14-year-old youth has been charged with assault causing bodily harm. Due to the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act, the youth cannot be named.
The youth has been released on conditions and will be appearing in Alberta Court of Justice in Rocky Mountain House on Feb. 15, 2024.
