There are only a few more weeks for you to get the Early bird Rate for Ponoka’s Animal Licenses program. Pet owners who buy a 2024 animal licence for their pet by December 29th will get an early bird rate of $15 for spayed or neutered animals or $30 for unaltered animals. That discount counts for 67 per cent of regular animal licensing rates.
All dogs and cats six months of age and older must be licensed annually in the Town of Ponoka as part of Animal Control Bylaw #424-15. The licence also ensures your pet can be easily returned home to you should it ever go missing and picked up by animal control.
Ponoka’s animal control contractor is Old MacDonald Kennels. The license also saves pet owners from an added cost if your pet is ever picked up by animal control. Animal licence fees help offset the cost of animal control services provided by the Town of Ponoka.
