The Lacombe Kinmen Club's Santa's Anonymous is back again for 2023, and they need your help.
Craig Darrell, from L.A. Carpet and Tile and a Lacombe Kinsmen member, talks about the need this year.
"The demand this year is higher than it's ever been and we're hoping we can make every kid have a great Christmas. I think with this first bit of winter weather coming our way that might get those bins filled up again, it hasn't really felt like Christmas yet"
The Kinsmen Club will be taking in the new, unwrapped toys at many locations across Lacombe and Bentley and then wrapping them up to hand out to families in need. Darrell talks about the most forgotten age groups, teens and babies aged 0-2 and what kinds of toys are needed for those groups.
"For the teenage girls things like hair products, whether it's blow dryers, straighteners, those types of things, Lego is always huge for us, and for older teenage boys, items such as hockey related, soccer balls, basketballs. That kind of stuff. And then also the zero to two age group tends to get neglected a little bit, so toys that would be appropriate for them."

If you don't have time to shop for toys, The Lacombe and District FCSS will also take in donations and provide a tax receipt when possible. Gift cards can also be dropped off at their office.
