Red Deer RCMP have arrested one male following a single vehicle collision this morning.

Shortly after 8:00AM on Nov. 15, 2023, police received a 911 call reporting a man driving a truck, doing donuts in a park off Ibbotson Close, in the Inglewood neighbourhood of Red Deer. Further reports to police advised the truck had collided with playground equipment.

RCMP responded immediately and located the vehicle. A 40-year-old man, who is a resident of Red Deer, was identified as the lone occupant and driver of the truck. He was arrested and taken into custody.

Investigation into the incident resulted in one charge of careless driving, which is pending against the man who has been released from police custody.

No injuries were reported and no one was on the playground or in the park at the time of the incident.
