Malcolm Tisdale has been appointed as the new Assistant Principal of Alix-MAC School for the 2024-2025 school year.

Tisdale has served as the Athletic Director for the past three years and has consistently demonstrated leadership and dedication, the Wolf Creek Public Schools (WCPS) website said.

He has also served as acting administrator on numerous occasions, proving his capability and readiness to step into the Assistant Principal role.

Throughout the years, he has shown his commitment to the community and fostered positive relationships with students, staff, and community members.

"Malcolm's deep engagement with the Alix-MAC School and his broad experience in various educational roles make him perfectly suited for the role of Assistant Principal," said Sonja Dykslag, Assistant Superintendent of People Services. "His leadership in athletics, as well as his roles as a career counselor and coach, have prepared him well to take on this leadership position."

In addition to his role as Athletic Director, Tisdale also serves as the Wolf Creek Athletic Association Cross Country Commissioner and has been the school’s career counselor and coach for school teams.

Tisdale’s teaching experience includes junior high physical education, math, and science.

“I am honoured and excited to step into the role of Assistant Principal,” said Tisdale. “I am committed to continuing to build strong relationships and fostering a supportive and dynamic learning environment at Alix-MAC School.”

Tisdale takes the role of Assistant Principal as Kendall Johnson moves to an Assistant Principalship at Ponoka Elementary School.
