The Town of Ponoka is inviting Central Albertans to a new Spring Festival on Saturday (May 25).

At the festival, Ponoka and area residents can expect bouncy houses, glitter tattoos, balloon twisting, crafts, food trucks, games, and more.

“It'll be an action-packed family fun day filled with a lot of great activities,” said Andrew Jones, Manager of Parks, Recreation and Facilities for the Town of Ponoka.

This is the first year the town is hosting the spring festival, with the goal of bringing residents and visitors together to kick off summer in the community.

“We wanted to bring people together to enjoy our great community and all of the wonderful things it has to offer. It's a great way to kick off all the fun activities we have planned for the spring and summer and is the kickoff to summer here in Ponoka,” Jones said.

“It's really important to bring people together and build that sense of community. Special events like the Spring Festival are the foundation of what we do to make sure that Ponoka is a great place to live, work, and play,” he added.

The festival will be held on May 25 from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Lion’s Centennial Park.
