Whisker Rescue Garage Sale fundraiser opens Friday 

After nearly a month of collecting donations, the Whisker Rescue Garage Sale fundraiser opens this Friday (May 24).  

The sale is the rescue’s largest fundraiser of the year, with the proceeds going towards vet bills, animal care, and supplies.  

“Vet bills have gone up, and so has food. We count on this sale and every penny goes to pet care, vets, and feeding,” said Diane Webber, Whisker Rescue Garage Sale Coordinator. “It's just so important.”  

Since the beginning of May, the rescue has been collecting item donations for the sale.  

“The donations were absolutely amazing, and we just thank everybody for everything that they brought in,” Webber said.   

Shoppers can expect seasonal decorations, furniture, and gardening items.   

“We have something for everyone. Every table is full and there's something for everyone, kids, pets, just everybody,” Webber said.   

This year, the sale is at the Jackpot Casino, and Webber is asking that shoppers have patience.  

“It's a new location and we have less space, but we have rooms this time that are full of exciting items for people to explore,” she said. “We do ask for patience with us and enjoy your treasure hunting.”  

The sale is open Friday (May 24) from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m., Saturday from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.  

There are two parking lots available for the sale. One is across the street on the east side of the Jackpot Casino, and one is across the street on the south side of the building.
