It will be the last very quiet weekend in Red Deer Polytechnic as the sports across the campus will be picking up and making it busier in the coming weeks. But this weekend just soccer and cross-country will be in action.

Starting things off will be soccer on Saturday with the Kings and Queens hosting the Olds College Broncos. Coming off a dominant performance led by defender Quinn Daku (Open Studies), the Queens will be looking to make it two in a row. The men will follow this up with a bye but the women will head off on the road to take on the University of Alberta-Augustana Vikings on Sunday.

After the weekend off, the Kings and Queens will be hitting the trails once again with the third Running Room Grand Prix of the season being held in Lethbridge. This trail will also feature the best the ACAC has to offer come October 28 as Lethbridge College will be hosting both the men’s and women’s championships. The Kings and Queens enter this weekend’s race in first place on the season as both teams have claimed the top spot at the first two Grand Prix of the year.
