Advance polling for Blackfalds by-election begins this week.  Although a full council was elected in October, Amanda Valin chose not to be sworn in for the 2021-2025 term.

Three candidates are in the running for the council position includind the following:

  • Edna Coulter
  • Ray Olfert
  • Will Taylor

Advance polling dates include the following:

  • Wednesday, January 5 from 10:00 AM to 8:00PM
  • Saturday, January 8 from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM

Advance polling will be taking place at the Council Chambers at the Civic Cultural Centre (5018 Waghorn Street). Masking and social distancing protocols will be in place to help eliminate the spread of COVID-19.

Election day will be on Monday, January 10th at the same location from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
