The Lacombe Days Parade brought thousands of people to the streets on Saturday morning (July 15, 2023).

Several local businesses took part with trailers and vehicles heavily clad in decorations. Many parade viewers could spot their favourite mascots, collect candy and see the latest dance moves.

After the parade, several people made their way to the Lacombe Memorial Centre where gear heads toured the Show and Shine or head over to Lest We Forget Park for some live music.

Throughout the downtown area there were several barbeques, activities hosted by local businesses and organizations.

The Michener House Museum had an archaeologist on site to analyze local finds as well as hosted other games and activities.

The Gary Moe Autogroup Sportsplex was the fun zone with the Kids Coral.

Sports fans could hit up the MEGlobal Athletic Park to see the Grey Cup in the flesh and the Lacombe AA Generals Vanberg Cup and President's Cup.

Later in the evening, the Gary Moe Autogroup Sportsplex was bustling with energy as crowds took in Harlequin and Honeymoon Suite. The concert was followed by a cabaret by Dean Ray.

Others head over to Cranna Lake to enjoy a few vendors and the fireworks show.

The fun is not over yet! Tomorrow (Sunday, July 16) the Fly-In Breakfast takes flight at the Lacombe Airport, the horse pull is happening at the Lacombe Ag Society Grounds, the Old-Fashioned Penny Carnival sets up at the Lacombe Memorial Centre and much more.
