The Innisfail RCMP will be holding their 27th annual Charity Checkstop this Saturday.

This event has become a huge fundraiser for the community.  In 2021 a total of $17,181.05 was raised and donated to local charities.

The location of this year's Charity Checkstop will be the same as previous years. On Dec. 2, 2023, between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., RCMP officers, partner agencies, and volunteers, will be set up by the Legion on 50th Street between 48th and 49th Avenue.

Donations will be accepted from traffic that is both eastbound and westbound.  Vehicles not wishing to donate may proceed through the right most lanes without stopping.  Safety Bear is also excited to meet everyone again this year.

The Charity Checkstop will once again be accepting new clothing, food, new toys, and cash.  Every little bit counts.  The charitable organizations this year will be the Innisfail Food Bank, Innisfail Christmas Bureau, the Central Alberta Child Advocacy Centre, and the Innisfail Youth Positive Assets Coalition.
