It was a bit of a rough weekend for the RDP Kings and Queens teams over the weekend as they would be up against some tough competition.
The Red Deer Polytechnic Queens Hockey team got RDP Athletics off to a winning note on Thursday night as they shut out the Olds College Broncos 6-0. But on Friday night it was a different story. The teams combined went 0-5 as they all faced off against very tough opponents.
As for the Kings Hockey team, they finished their week off with a win against the NAIT Ooks to split their home-and-home series this past weekend.
Queens Volleyball, and Kings and Queens Basketball all finished the weekend with back-to-back losses against the Briercrest College Clippers. Kings Volleyball bounced back into the win column on Saturday afternoon with an impressive three-straight set victory over the Clippers.
