On Oct. 23, 2023, at 8:37 a.m., Rocky Mountain House RCMP received a report of a two vehicle collision on Highway 11 North of 71 Street in Rock Mountain House.
Upon arrival, the driver and sole occupant of one of the vehicles, a 16-year-old female resident of Rocky Mountain House, was deceased. The driver of the other vehicle was uninjured. RCMP remained on scene for several hours conducting an investigation. The roadway is now cleared.
Although early, initial investigation suggests that the vehicle driven by the 16-year-old lost control and went into oncoming traffic where it was struck by the second vehicle.
