Just before 4:00 pm on Friday 1 March 2024, Environment Canada issued a snowfall warning for many parts of Central Alberta. 

Heavy snow will begin overnight tonight bringing total amounts of 10 to 15 cm. Heavy snow will taper off Saturday morning before another area of heavy snow moves into the area Saturday afternoon.

The heaviest snow is expected to fall in areas east of Highway 21. The snowfall will taper off by Sunday morning. Visibility may be suddenly reduced at times in heavy snow.

Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Snowfall warnings are issued when significant snowfall is expected.
