On Thursday, May 16th, Sylvan Lake Council members and students from H.J. Cody High School took part in Moose Hide Campaign Day.

Participants put on a symbolic moose hide to pledge a commitment to ending violence against women and children.

The member gathered at H.J.Cody School grounds where a teepee was also set up.

Moose Hide Campaign Day is an awareness day about the violence against all women and children in our society.

"The Moose Hide Campaign recognizes that all forms of violence are unacceptable, regardless of gender. We see the disproportionate number of women who are victims and the importance of engaging men and boys in addressing this issue. We also know that “shame and blame” isn’t the answer."
