The Town of Ponoka is inviting residents to share their input on the 2025 budget.

Residents are encouraged to share their ideas on the town’s annual budget with councillors during Coffee with Council events, or through a survey and online budget open house.

Through the survey, residents can share their thoughts and provide suggestions on priorities they believe are important for council to consider in the upcoming budget, along with key factors that contribute to the quality of life in Ponoka.

The online open house will give residents the chance to learn more about the budget planning process, how funds are allocated, and answer questions about the budget.

“The annual public consultation process on the town budget is an important part of the town’s ongoing commitment to inviting public participation in council decision-making processes. Inviting public input allows town council to make more informed and thoughtful decisions that reflect what residents value most,” said Ponoka Mayor Kevin Ferguson.

Input collected from the Coffee with Council events will be summarized and presented to council for review and consideration during the 2025 budget deliberation process in the fall.

The survey is available here, until Aug. 30.

Coffee with Council will be held on June 5 from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the off-leash dog park (5609 49 Street) grand opening celebration.
