Bower Place has announced United Way Central Alberta (UWCA) as the 2024 Charity of Choice.

UWCA has been working for nearly six decades fostering thriving communities, listening to local voices, collaborating with citizens, agencies, and businesses, and investing donations into impactful programs.

Currently, UWCA is focusing on access to basic needs, increasing the availability of mental health services, and fostering brighter futures through community partnerships.

“We are thrilled for the opportunity to amplify the needs of Central Albertans through this incredible partnership with Bower Place,” United Way Central Alberta CEO Chelsea O’Donoghue said. “United Way Central Alberta is committed to creating communities where families and individuals have the resources, opportunities, and supports they need to thrive, and we are incredibly excited to join forces with Bower Place in building brighter futures for all.”

Bower Place Marketing Manager Ben Windsor explained that UWCA’s commitment to strengthening connections within the community resonates with the core values of Bower Place, to enhance the quality of life for individuals and families in the region.

“The shared focus on improving outcomes for families and children creates a powerful synergy that we believe will have a profound and positive impact on the well-being of Central Albertans,” Windsor said.
