Red Deer RCMP would like to advise the public that the situation is now resolved. The heavy police presence and shelter in place have been lifted. Alberta RCMP would like to thank the public for their cooperation.

Red Deer RCMP are currently on scene at the corner of Parke Avenue, near Phelan Crescent in Red Deer in relation to a high-risk arrest. Residents of the complex are asked to shelter in place while police attend and listen to police instructions thereafter. Members of the public are asked to avoid the area until further notice.
They ask that photos of responding officers not be placed on social media until after the incident is over.
A release will be sent out once the scene has been cleared.
