UPDATE: As of 9:38 a.m., RCMP advised that the shelter in place was lifted, and the two suspects were in custody.
Didsbury RCMP further advise that they ARE NOT looking for any further suspects. There is no further threat to the public.
BACKGROUND STORY:
On Feb. 9, at 7:44 a.m., the Didsbury RCMP were tracking armed suspects in a rural area west of Carstairs, and advised residents to shelter in place.
The suspects were described as a man and a woman.
RCMP asked residents residing between Township Road 302 and Highway 580 and between Range Road 15 and Range Road 20 to shelter in place, lock their doors, and call 911 with any sightings of suspicious persons.
