The Canadian Pacific Holiday Train will be in Central Alberta with Sam Roberts and the Anyway Gang.  

The train makes stops throughout Canada carrying different musical performers in a train that is decorated with lights and decorations. At each stop, they collect food for the food bank serving that area.    

Here’s a look at where the train will be stopping in central Alberta as well as some additional details you may want to know:  

 

Lacombe  

Date: December 7, 2023   

Arrival Time: 6:50PM  

Location: Len Thompson Pond  

Parking in the area is limited. Shuttle busses will be operating at the parking lots at J.S. McComick School and Lacombe Upper Elementary School parking lots leaving at 6:15PM and 6:30PM.  

Accessible transportation will be available at the Lacombe Memorial Centre at 6:15PM and 6:30PM.  

Parking will be prohibited on Highway 2A and Wolf Creek Drive. The speed limit will be reduced 30km/hr on Wolf Creek Drive for the duration of the event.  

 

Blackfalds  

Date: December 7, 2023   

Arrival Time: 8:05PM  

Location: CP tracks at Grigg Way t between Broadway Avenue and East Avenue  

Grigg Way will be closed for the event.  

  

Ponoka   

Date: December 7, 2023   

Arrival Time: 5:00PM   

Location: 50th Street and 47 Avenue  

50 Street will be closed between 47 Avenue and 50 Avenue from 4:30 to 6:30PM.  

  

Wetaskiwin
