Spruce Grove Saints-1 Blackfalds Bulldogs-5

The Blackfalds Bulldogs are on an eleven-game winning streak after beating the Spruce Grove Saints  5-1 Saturday night at The Eagle Builders Centre. this is the first time the Blackfalds team has beaten Spruce Grove in franchise history.

Just over 650 fans watched as the home team Bulldogs would score halfway through the first period with a goal by Hunter Brown. 

Three more goals in the second by Dakota Macintosh, Otto Hanson and Ryan Shaw would put the game away for good. Things would get rough at the end of the second as Saints player Ashton McNelly and Bulldogs skater David Brandes would both be given five minute major penalties, and 10 minute game misconducts.

In the third, Spruce Grove couldn't answer back, and Carter Patterson scored an empty net goal to make the game 5-1.

Blackfalds goalie, Ethan Morrow was named first star of the game with his 21 of 22 saves.

Next game for The Bulldogs will be at home next Saturday, October 28th against the Fort McMurray Oil Barons. That game starts at 6:00 pm.
