The Red Deer Downtown Business Association has another fun Summer planned for Central Alberta residents.

Amanda Gould, The Executive Director, says it's going to be a busy time for the Association.

"We are kicking off our Downtown Red Deer Market on May 22nd, and that is going to run every Wednesday evening from 3:30-6:30 p.m. We will also have music coming back to the Ross Street Patio. That also runs every Wednesday from 4:30 to 6:30 pm. They are both very popular events for downtown Red Deer area"

The DBA also says it is working on plans for the Afro-Carribean Festival, Centrefest, and some excitement for this year's Westerner Days.

The Ross Street Patio is a gathering and entertainment venue in the heart of Downtown Red Deer. Featuring patio furniture and a stage area, the area is recognized for its inviting atmosphere and live entertainment.

The weekly event is a partnership between The City of Red Deer and the Downtown Business Association (DBA), the Patio features free, live music for the Summer and early Fall seasons. It features talented local musicians and bands that contribute to the amazing atmosphere you’ll find on the beloved Patio. Events are free and open to the public.

The 2024 Downtown Red Deer Market is once again located on Little Gaetz Ave in the heart of Downtown Red Deer. The Downtown Wednesday Market runs every Wednesday evening 3:30-6:30 p.m. The market is an accredited Alberta Farmer’s Market, offering locally produced goods that are made, baked and grown right in Alberta! Regularly available products include meat, fresh vegetables and more.
