UPDATE: 

RCMP advise that the police incident on Mountain Ash Drive and 52 Street in Wetaskiwin is now over. There are no injuries reported. RCMP will remain on scene while the investigation continues.

Wetaskiwin RCMP are currently on scene of a police incident involving a firearm on Mountain Ash Drive and 52 street in Westaskiwin. The incident is currently contained to a residence and there is no active threat to the community. Residents are asked to avoid the area and follow directions of responding officers.

Please do not post photos of officers on social media until after the incident is over. 

An update will provided once officers have cleared the scene.
