Wetaskiwin RCMP advise that the police operation is now over and one male is in custody.
The Highway is now open. Further details to come tomorrow.
BACKGROUND STORY
Wetaskiwin RCMP are advising that there is a heavy police presence on Highway 2 at Township Road 470. Traffic is being diverted at 616 to Highway 2A.
Containment has been set up in this area for a high risk police operation. Numerous police resources are in the area. RCMP are asking citizens to avoid the area.
