École Lacombe Junior High School (ÉLJHS) first-year teacher Will Langille was honoured with the Edwin Parr Award on May 27.   

Langille was recognized for his passion and dedication to education, and embodying the spirit of excellence and commitment that the award celebrates, the Wolf Creek Public Schools (WCPS) website said.   

Langille currently teaches English Language Arts and Social Studies for Grade 9, in addition to specialized electives in Creative Writing, Robotics, Leadership, and Study Skills.  

He received a Bachelor of Education Middle Years with Distinction from Red Deer Polytechnic and the University of Alberta.  

Langille was accompanied by Wolf Creek's Board of Trustees to the Edwin Parr Awards Banquet in Innisfail, who supported him during the special recognition.
